ABOUT US
Racer X Stables success with our thoroughbreds begins with selection. What separates our equine professionals from their rivals is an ability to spot talent with confirmation, before it rises to the surface.
From inception, it was decided to place the primary emphasis on talent. This challenges the conventional wisdom used by Racer X's competitors and traditionalists, who focused first on pedigree.
"We have to be mindful of our budget and manage the P&L to plan, as this is just our beginning," said Jeffrey Neese, "and we have to get the most racehorse for the dollars invested. So we put talent first. We also relegated pedigree even farther down the list, but not off altogether."
"Second to talent, we placed athleticism. After all the scrutiny and due diligence placed on the talent and athleticism, we made sure that confirmation and soundness were second to none and won't ever be compromised. Our unique training program won't allow us to. Pedigree became our later consideration. Racer X's yearlings have been sired by some of the most up and coming freshman sires in the nation. We wanted to get the most bang for our buck and pedigree costs money, money that most times is never returned to the investor."
"We've accumulated a very nice portfolio loaded with athletic/precocious types that should do well at next year's juvenile sales. We've also hedged our investments by purchasing horses eligible for lucrative regional programs where the competition is weak and the overhead is minimal, " said Jason Hall, after the latest sale.
Racer X Stables use only the finest horsemen in the industry, trainers who are committed to putting the horse's welfare first. We believe in the philosophy of "if we teach and take care of the horse, the horse will learn and take care of us."
Our trainers deploy the best training regimens and resources available. Their goal is to position our horses for success and their background of achievements are industry leading.
